UNIiDIFF LLC (Google Play developer name: UNIiDIFF) publishes the CareKin app. Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, you can request erasure of specific categories of data while keeping your account active. This is separate from full account deletion.
Data You Can Delete Yourself in the App
No request needed — delete anytime:
Request Deletion of Other Data (Account Stays Active)
Select which data you want deleted. You can request one or more categories in a single request.
Step 1 — In the CareKin app
- Open CareKin and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Data & Privacy.
- Choose the data-rights option (access, erasure, or export) and describe which data categories you want deleted.
Step 2 — Or email UNIiDIFF
Email from your registered CareKin address and list the data types you want deleted:

Open email with checklistData categories you can request for deletion
- Phone number — removed from your account (you may need another sign-in method)
- Profile photo — deleted from storage; default avatar shown
- Health journey stage — erased; peer-matching based on stage stops
- Messages — specific conversations or all messages you sent
- Posts, comments & marketplace content — specific items or all your user-generated content
- Behavioural analytics logs — raw event logs linked to your account (aggregated anonymised stats may remain)
- Support tickets — correspondence you submitted via Help (subject to legal retention limits)
What We May Keep
- Data required to keep your account working (e.g. email if it is your only sign-in method, unless you request full account closure)
- Moderation or safety records if your content was reported — up to 2–5 years where legally required
- Security and fraud-prevention logs — up to 2 years
- Anonymised aggregate statistics that no longer identify you
- Data under an active legal hold
We aim to respond within 30 days, consistent with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019.
